So it seems our little angel has found a new way to keep us up at night. Hayley's new found skill of rolling over has created a little bit of a dilemna for us as she has been rolling to her tummy in her sleep and waking up quite vocal about her dissatisfaction. Tonight we put her down to bed on her back like usual. Within seconds she was on her tummy protesting so we just let her fuss for a few minutes. Before long she was sound asleep with her little thumb in her mouth just sucking away. Brian says he hopes he's going to be able to sleep at night without worrying himself sick. We're both a little nervous knowing that she most likely will end up sleeping on her stomach. I keep reminding myself that we survived sleeping on our stomachs as infants so certainly Hayley will manage just fine.Wednesday, August 30, 2006
Rollin' Rollin' Rollin'

If they're comfy, they're comfy. I'm glad they're finding SIDS research to help the problem, but there's only so much you can do to keep them on their backs! Garfield is a tummy sleeper now, and I have been all my life. As long as her matress was new to begin with, you should be fine. You can also buy a SIDS detector alarm that will buzz if she stops breathing, if Brian gets to be too much of a zombie. ;)
